Have You Heard About the Denver Preschool Program?

We Pay! You Choose! They Win!
The Denver Preschool Program (DPP) is the result of a voter approved initiative to provide tuition credits for parents, and quality improvement grants to preschools. DPP is open and voluntary for all Denver children the year before they are eligible for kindergarten. A Denver family may use the tuition credit with any preschool provider who is licensed by the state and enrolled with the Denver Preschool Program, regardless of where that preschool is located.

We Pay!
All enrolled families, regardless of income, are eligible for some portion of tuition credit. As a participating family, you may apply the credit directly to your child's tuition or donate the money to your child's preschool. DPP provides a tuition credit of $57-$1,000 per enrolled child per month for 12 months to participating families. The tuition credit is based on
family income, family size, and the quality rating of the preschool your child attends. Families who live in the City and County of Denver and who have a child or children enrolled in the last year of preschool before kindergarten are eligible.

You Choose!
You decide where your child goes to school.

DPP is open to all licensed provider types: for-profit, nonprofit, public and private operating centers as well as home-based preschools. Part-day, full-day and extended day preschool programs are eligible, as are preschools outside of Denver, provided the
preschool is enrolled in DPP.

They Win!
More than 40 years of research shows that early childhood
education provides significant educational and social benefits for children, families and communities.

Colorado kindergarten teachers report that one-third of children come to school unprepared to learn, a trend DPP would like to halt through increasing access to affordable, quality preschool programs for every child in Denver. Learn more: www.dpp.org or 303-595-4DPP
